Product Overview
Vessels explores the intersection of object resonance and sound design, offering a collection of 220 sound-designed presets that transform traditional synth material into abstract sonic landscapes. The library features a unique blend of resonances from metallic objects, creating rich, textured tones that deviate from standard synthesis.
Details
The library is divided into three banks: Convergent, Divergent, and Relics. The Convergent Bank utilizes surface transducers to vibrate objects like Oil Drums and Thunder Sheets, generating complex tonal and spatial variations. An additional layer captured with a Lom Geofón adds depth, extending the frequency response down to 10Hz. The Divergent Bank employs traditional re-amping techniques, sending synth samples through 180-watt cabinets to enhance width and colour. This bank allows for blending various mic feeds, including Sanken CU-41s for fidelity and SM-57s for character, enabling nuanced control over the sound before effects are applied.
The Relics Bank features 20 presets that evoke warmth and nostalgia, achieved by re-recording material onto tape and cassette, then processing it through boutique effects pedals. This approach preserves the organic qualities of the sound, resulting in a palette that is both gritty and human. Overall, Vessels offers a diverse range of textures suitable for experimental compositions and soundscapes, making it a valuable tool for those seeking to push the boundaries of traditional synthesis.
