String Formations features a chamber string ensemble comprising three violins, violas, and celli, recorded in the expansive Nave Studio 1. This library is tailored for intimate scoring, providing a rich palette of long textures and gestural effects that can enhance traditional string libraries with added nuance and depth.

Details

The library offers a variety of articulations, including evolving longs, expressive pitch bends, and dynamic swells, alongside unique Chordal Textures that automatically trigger interval relationships when playing chords. This creates interweaving textures that are both expressive and cohesive. The ensemble was recorded together, capturing the natural interaction between players, which contributes to its authentic sound.

Three mic perspectives—close for a focused sound, mid for balanced warmth, and far to capture the hall's spaciousness—allow for flexible mixing options. The intelligent playback engine enhances performance by analyzing held notes and selecting appropriate samples, enabling rich chordal textures. Additionally, the Layer Blends engine allows for creative combinations of raw articulations with processed Atmosphere Layers, expanding the sonic possibilities significantly.
