The library features a quartet of strings recorded with a sordino, or mute, enhancing expressiveness and intimacy, making it suitable for nuanced scoring in cinematic contexts.

The library includes three main articulations: straight sustains, expressive sustains, and both straight and expressive legato. Each articulation is designed to capture the unique character of muted strings, with attention to detail in the recording process. The ensemble consists of 16 first violins, 12 second violins, 10 violas, 10 cellos, and 8 basses, all recorded in divisi to maintain clarity and depth.

Four mic positions—close, Decca tree, wide, and balcony—allow for versatile mixing options, whether you need a focused sound or a more spacious ambiance. The instrument features dynamic controls, including mod wheel dynamics, crescendos, decrescendos, and various sforzato and fortepiano dynamics. The main legato state can be set to polyphonic or monophonic, enabling smooth transitions between notes while maintaining harmonic integrity.
