Product Overview
Shreddage 3 Precision is a electric bass library in the Shreddage ecosystem, built for realistic DI performance and mix-ready tones. It focuses on tight timing, clear articulation and flexible tone shaping so rhythm parts and melodic lines sit convincingly in modern productions.
Details
The instrument is recorded string‑by‑string from open notes up the neck, so many pitches are available on multiple strings. That design lets the engine vary tone naturally based on position and string choice while keeping timing tight for rhythm work. Core articulations cover sustains, mutes, legato transitions, slides and chokes, with harmonics where appropriate. Multiple dynamics and round‑robins per note help avoid machine‑gun repetition, and release behaviors are tailored for clean note ends or aggressive cutoffs.
Performance is governed by a context‑aware fretting system (the Shreddage 3/3.5 “virtual hand”) that evaluates current hand position, forced‑string rules and legato state to place new notes on realistic strings and frets. Mapping keeps common techniques on predictable keyswitches, and velocity or MIDI CC can be used to switch stroke types. A built‑in Console mixer provides DI and amped signal paths with cabinet, pedal and studio effects, so you can stay with raw DI for external amp sims or commit to production‑ready tones inside the instrument. Humanization controls, pick/pluck behavior and timing offsets round out the performance tuning so parts sit firmly in dense mixes without sounding mechanical.
