Restrung Volume 1 is a solo string library featuring violin, viola, and cello, designed to deliver a raw and visceral sound. The close capture technique emphasizes the intimate timbre of each instrument, making it suitable for genres like Neo Classical, Tension, and Horror, while also enhancing orchestral strings with added punch and grit.

Details

This library includes multi-sampled instruments across three octaves, featuring multiple velocity layers and round robins. Eight articulations are available, including Spiccatissimo, Spiccato, Staccato, Pizzicato, Bartok, and three lengths of Marcato. Each articulation is performed with an aggressive style, capturing the tension and imperfections that lend a realistic quality to the sound. Additionally, an extra layer of noisy, aggressive samples can be overlaid on the primary articulations, providing unique sound combinations and harder attacks.

All recordings were made in a tight room, using the same setup as the Unstrung library, ensuring consistency in sound quality. The instrument features convolution reverb options, output control, and various mixing parameters such as release, saturation, and compression. Articulations can be switched via keyswitches, allowing for seamless transitions during performance. Restrung Volume 1 is fully NKS compatible, enabling control over all parameters through NKS-compatible keyboards, and is available for use in both the Free Kontakt Player and the full version of Kontakt.
