Product Overview
Requiem Light Symphonic Choir is a professional virtual choir library that captures the grandeur of a cathedral choir, ideal for cinematic scoring and dramatic trailers. It features true-legato sustains alongside marcato and staccato articulations, providing a versatile palette for expressive choral arrangements.
Details
The library includes a full unison choir with polyphonic true-legato sustains for essential vowel types, as well as men's and women's divisi sustains covering six common vowels. Articulations extend to 24 staccato syllables with round-robin variations and 16 sustaining single-syllable marcato words. Additionally, it offers a selection of fast and slow multi-syllable Latin words with tempo-synching and legato control.
Recorded in the expansive sanctuary hall at Saint Paul's in San Francisco, the choir was conducted by Robert Geary and features members from notable ensembles. The sound is captured with 12 large diaphragm microphones, resulting in a balanced stereo image. The library also includes a modular FX rack with 119 custom reverb spaces, allowing for extensive sound shaping and atmospheric layering. With hundreds of dramatic choral effects and sound-designed pads, this library is well-suited for both traditional and contemporary scoring contexts.
