Details
The DDR Toy Piano is recorded with a spaced stereo pair of vintage Neumann microphones, capturing its haunting and percussive qualities. It includes eight velocity layers and key-off samples, allowing for expressive playability. The Grand Toy Piano, recorded using spaced Earthworks omnis and a contact mic system, features twenty velocity levels and a space IR processor for added depth. This setup enhances the physicality of the sound, letting you adjust the balance between the acoustic and the mechanical aspects.
Both instruments offer shaping controls, reverse options, and effects to further tailor the sound to your needs. The intimate timbre and mechanical detail make them versatile for various scoring contexts, from light-hearted themes to more experimental soundscapes.
