Product Overview

Oz Tonewheel Organ is a Kontakt library that captures the essence of a 1971 Acetone GT-7 organ, delivering a rich, tape-saturated sound. The library features a variety of expressive patches, including both traditional organ tones and experimental sound design variations, making it suitable for cinematic scoring and innovative compositions.

Details

The instrument offers a wide range of articulations, including enchanting sustain and lively staccatos, all recorded through multiple signals such as speaker, room, spring reverb, Leslie, and direct input. This allows for a nuanced approach to sound shaping, with up to five mix tracks available for each patch. The interface provides extensive controls, including Volume, Attack, Release, Sample Start Offset, Vibrato, and a Glide control for legato and portamento effects.

With 130 patches and nearly 3000 samples, the library includes both “normal” patches that reflect the authentic character of the GT-7 and “Tainted” patches that explore more experimental textures. These sound-designed variations utilize outboard gear, tape machines, and various amps to create unique sonic landscapes. The interface supports MIDI CC automation for real-time control, enhancing the playability and integration into your workflow.
