Product Overview

Kinetic Toys turns recordings of vintage toys into expressive instruments by pairing them with bespoke synth layers. It’s designed for standout leads and character textures where motion and timbral morphing are part of the performance.

Details

The library groups content into 35 themed sets and over 600 snapshots sourced from more than 200 toy recordings—from pinball machines and wind‑ups to toy pianos and whistles. Each theme contains eight toy sources and eight complementary synth layers, ready to be blended for hybrid timbres.

Two animated X‑Y controllers drive performance: the ballerina morphs between the layered sound sources, while the robot morphs an effects scene. Effects span resonant filters and EQ, delays and spatial processors, bitcrushers and distortion, and modulation. Four modulation sources (two envelopes and two LFOs) can be freely assigned to shape movement.

Snapshot presets show practical starting points for melodic leads, rhythmic effects, and evolving atmospheres. Fully compatible with the free Kontakt Player.
