The library offers chromatic sampling across the entire range of the piano, with up to four round robins and five dynamic layers for each articulation. Articulations include normal, soft, and hard piano sounds, as well as prepared variations like harmonic and muted pianos. Both full sustain pedal and non-pedaled samples are available, enhancing playability and expression.
Recording took place over 35 hours in Joachim's studio, using a pair of Microtech Gefell CMV 563 microphones with M7 capsules for the main sound, complemented by additional room mics. This setup ensures a rich, detailed capture of the instrument's character. The library also includes various bonus effects and percussive sounds created with mallets and brushes, allowing for a wide range of creative possibilities.
With its focus on rhythmic playability and unique timbres, Joachim's Piano is well-suited for composers looking to integrate a realistic piano sound into their scores, whether for intimate settings or larger arrangements.
