Product Overview

Heritage Cello is a solo cello library performed by virtuoso cellist Nicholas Trygstad, capturing the instrument's warmth and expressiveness. It features a multi-layered legato engine that allows for smooth lyrical transitions and agile runs, making it suitable for a variety of scoring contexts, from film to contemporary classical.

Details

The library includes ten articulations, such as sustains, sul tasto, harmonics, tremolo, trills, staccato, spiccato, ricochets, and pizzicato, all recorded with multiple round robins and dynamic layers for realistic performance. The legato engine offers three distinct types, enhancing the fluidity of melodic lines. Sustained articulations feature rebow round robins and an infinite bow mode, allowing for evolving performances with intensity control.

Five microphone perspectives—Close, Mid, Far, Ambient, and Mix—enable users to tailor the sound from intimate solo passages to expansive cinematic textures. Additional controls include a round robin selector, tightness control, and tuning options, providing flexibility in performance. Heritage Cello is designed for the free Kontakt Player, making it accessible for various musical applications, including film scores and intimate songwriting sessions.
