The library features a granular engine with two separate elements, each equipped with its own set of controls for shaping sound. The macro panel includes four controls—Grain, Character, Movement, and Space—that allow for expressive manipulation of the sound. Users can drag their own samples into the instrument, enhancing its versatility.

In addition to the granular controls, the synth edit panel provides conventional amp, filter, and LFO modules, with routing options to the macro controls. The effects panel includes two separate insert chains and an impulse response reverb module, allowing for detailed sound design. With 180 presets available, Polarity Tension is designed for those drawn to abstract and unresolved sonic textures, making it suitable for sound design in film, games, and contemporary music.
