Product Overview
Morpheus is a virtual instrument that captures the unique sound of an aluminum percussion instrument, offering a blend of clarity and resonance. With its modular design, the keys can be rearranged, allowing for a versatile approach to composition, particularly in ambient and experimental contexts.
Details
The instrument spans two and a half octaves, with an optional bass wing extension providing an additional octave. It features a range of articulations, including sustained notes and dynamic strikes, all recorded to retain the instrument's natural decay. The close capture emphasizes the instrument's pure sound, while the absence of damping allows for a free ring of the bars.
Morpheus includes several performance controls, such as tremolo, strum, and ensemble modules, which enhance playability and sound design. The generative tools, like Calder and Chord Mutate, allow for evolving patterns and textures, making it suitable for creating immersive soundscapes. The effects panel offers a modular insert chain with various effects, including convolution reverb, enabling detailed sound shaping.
