Details
The instrument offers three dynamic layers, ranging from moderately soft to fortissimo, allowing for nuanced performances. It includes bow-change legato transitions and “active-bow” sustains that evolve in vibrato and timbre, providing a sense of continuous motion. The release samples are responsive to note-length variations, enhancing the fluidity of musical phrases.
Recorded in an ambient hall, the library features multiple mic positions, including close captures of the first chair and section, as well as Decca and wide placements. This setup allows for a versatile sound palette, accommodating both intimate and expansive arrangements. The library is optimized for a global delay of 140 ms, ensuring that all elements align musically when played. Additionally, a keyswitch block facilitates seamless transitions between legato and non-legato playing.
