Details
The library includes six basses primarily sourced from first-chair musicians of the Capellen Orchestra, offering a rich and intimate timbre. It features three dynamic layers, ranging from moderately soft to fortissimo, and employs bow-change legato transitions that enhance the musicality of the phrases. The “active-bow” sustains provide a non-static quality, allowing the sound to evolve while maintaining consistent dynamics and timbre.
Recorded in an ambient hall, the library offers multiple mic positions, including close 1st-chair, close section, Decca, and wide, allowing for flexible mixing options. The inclusion of responsive release samples enables fluent note-length variation, while additional effects such as falls, crescendos, and shorts add further texture to the performance. The library is optimized for a 140 ms delay to enhance the musicality of legatos and releases, ensuring a cohesive playback experience.
