Cinematic Thunder features a collection of epic orchestral toms, designed to deliver powerful rhythmic elements for trailers and action cues. The library captures a range of tom sizes, from 10” to 18”, providing a versatile palette that can shift from soft warmth to bombastic impacts.

Details

The instrument includes four master patches: Sticks, Mallets, Group Hits, and Group Big Hits, each offering unique sonic characteristics. The Sticks patch provides punchy attacks at lower velocities and crisp tones at higher velocities, while the Mallets patch delivers deep, soft attacks alongside massive cinematic impacts. Each patch features multiple drum groups and combo hits for added depth.

Recorded with three mic positions—Stage, Tree, and Room—the library allows for flexible mixing options. Up to 14 velocity layers and three round robins ensure expressive performance, with separate right and left-hand strikes for nuanced playing. The newly added sequencer enables users to create intricate drum patterns easily, while the effects page offers various sound manipulation options, including reverb, delay, and compression.

This instrument is fully integrated with KOMPLETE KONTROL and Maschine, enhancing workflow and playability. The recent update has refined the samples for clarity and performance, making Cinematic Thunder a robust tool for any scoring context that demands impactful percussion.
