Cassette Toy Piano is a collection of five instruments derived from a children's toy piano, recorded on cassette to capture its unique character. The library embraces the inherent imperfections of toy pianos, offering variations that enhance the raw sound with effects like spring reverb and granular synthesis while retaining an occasionally eerie quality.

The collection features three dynamic layers across two cassette decks, one providing a neutral sound and the other delivering a lo-fi, degraded quality. In total, there are 1,112 samples, including two noise samples from each deck. Each note has been carefully denoised to prevent noise stacking, allowing for a more realistic sound when playing multiple notes simultaneously. A noise knob offers flexibility in adjusting the volume of noise independently, enhancing the organic feel of the instrument.

Included are various sound types, such as wet resonating, dry sharp metallic, and granular textures, each recorded in mono. The library also features simulated round-robin functionality in the Kontakt and SFZ versions, which adds realism to faster passages. Custom impulses for convolution reverb are provided, allowing for tailored spatial effects. The interface is designed for ease of use, facilitating quick sound design and exploration of the instrument's unique tonal palette.
