Alternate by Triple Spiral Audio is a cinematic hybrid library for Kontakt (v7.8/8.3) that emphasises layered textures, percussive tonal material and experimental sound-design, rather than conventional orchestral instruments. It is aimed at trailer, action, game and hybrid composing workflows where unusual and evolving layers dominate.

Details

The engine in Alternate features multiple “instruments” grouped by tonal category (such as Tonal, Experimental, Destruction, Blend I/II). Each instrument offers four independent layers that can be mixed or morph-blended via an XY-pad interface. The source pool includes roughly 240 sound-sources and the preset bank runs into hundreds of snapshots—providing broad motion and texture coverage. The architecture supports distortion, saturation, filters and convolution effects, enabling layers to move from ambient drone through heavy rhythm and into chaotic or cinematic hits. Because of its focus on hybrid material and custom DSP, Alternate requires the full version of Kontakt and is built for Kontakt 7.8 or 8.3 platforms.
