The library captures the harpsichord in three register combinations: the front 8', the rear 8', and both 8' together, providing a comprehensive range of the instrument's capabilities. Each note has been recorded eight times to ensure nuanced variations with repeated strikes, enhancing the natural elegance and liveliness of the performance. Additionally, key release noises are included in four variations per note, contributing to a more authentic playing experience.
Recorded in the acoustically rich Aufseß concert hall of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the samples were captured using hand-built Wagner™ U47w® tube microphones, Crane Song™ Flamingo® preamps, and Universal Audio™ 2192® converters, ensuring high fidelity at 192 kHz/24 bit resolution. The library also includes presets for HAlion®, Kontakt® (full version required), and EXS24®, making it accessible for various software samplers. The instrument is presented in its original Valotti tuning (392 Hz), with presets available in 440 Hz as well.
