Details

The library captures over 1,600 individual samples, including a short C/E octave for an extended range. Each note is recorded eight times to ensure natural variation, particularly useful for trills and rapid passages. The instrument's mechanical details, such as key release noises, are also included in four variations per note, enhancing the overall realism.

Recorded in the acoustically unique Herrenhaus Hasselburg, the samples were captured using Wagner™ U47w® tube microphones through Crane Song™ Flamingo® preamps and Universal Audio™ 2192® converters, ensuring high fidelity at 192 kHz/24 Bit. The library includes presets for HAlion®, Kontakt® (full version required), and EXS24®, along with an essay by Andreas Beurmann discussing the harpsichord's construction and history.
