The library captures the instrument in five register combinations: upper 8', lower 8', 4', tutti, and both 8' together, providing a wide tonal range. Each note is sampled with up to eight variations to avoid mechanical repetition, ensuring a natural feel, especially in trills and rapid sequences. The instrument's key release noises are also included, enhancing the authenticity of the performance.
Recorded in the acoustically unique Herrenhaus Hasselburg, the samples were captured using hand-built Wagner™ U47w® tube microphones, Crane Song™ Flamingo® preamps, and Universal Audio™ 2192® converters at 192 kHz/24 Bit. The library includes presets for HAlion®, Kontakt® (full version required), and EXS24®, along with essays by Dr. Andreas Beurmann discussing the Pigalle harpsichord.
