The library features nearly 700 individual samples, recorded in the acoustically rich spaces of Herrenhaus Hasselburg. Each note has been chromatically sampled eight times to ensure a natural and expressive performance, with key noises captured in four variations to enhance realism. The instrument is presented in its original 412 Hz Valotti tuning, with presets also available in 440 Hz.
Recording utilized Neumann TLM170 microphones through Crane Song Flamingo preamps and Universal Audio converters, ensuring high fidelity at 192 kHz/24 bit. The Lautenwerck's sound is characterized by a smooth attack and a transparent decay, making it suitable for nuanced compositions where warmth and clarity are essential. The library includes playable presets for major software samplers, allowing for seamless integration into various workflows.
