Details
The library features nearly 3,700 individual samples, recorded in a unique acoustic space using Royer R122V ribbon microphones and Neumann TLM170 condenser microphones. The instrument is sampled at 192 kHz/24 Bit, ensuring high fidelity, and includes presets for various software samplers. Each note is captured eight times to provide nuanced variations, particularly beneficial for trills and rapid passages, enhancing the instrument's natural fluidity.
In addition to the primary samples, key release noises are recorded four times per note, contributing to the overall realism and playability. The instrument is tuned to the original 372 Hz Valotti temperament, with presets available for 440 Hz. This attention to detail makes the library suitable for historical compositions and modern arrangements alike, offering a versatile tool for composers interested in early music or baroque styles.
