Modern Bodhrán revitalises the traditional Celtic frame drum, offering a rich connection to Irish culture while fitting seamlessly into contemporary music. This library captures the unique tonal qualities of four distinct bodhráns, making it suitable for a variety of genres, from cinematic scores to folk and electronic compositions.

Details

The library features four unique drums, each with its own history and sonic character. Each drum was recorded with three different sticks, allowing for a wide range of tones and dynamics. The samples include individual up and down strokes, with six repetitions for each, resulting in a total of 36 variations per tone. The bodhráns were meticulously recorded at Grans House Studio in Scotland, ensuring high-quality sound capture.

Five microphone positions were used, with three mics placed at the back and two at the front, providing flexibility in mixing. An included stereo mix allows for quick integration into your projects. The library also offers five performance patches tailored to different playing styles, enabling you to trigger samples in a way that emulates real playing techniques. Additionally, 22 MIDI loops are provided, featuring various rhythmic patterns to jumpstart your compositions.
