The library includes four male and two female solo voices, recorded separately to allow for custom vocal ensembles. It offers 40 different syllables, five true legato vowels, and an "mm" articulation typical of East and Central African music. Each syllable can be played as a solo or within an ensemble, with options for both short and long articulations. The phrase arranger facilitates easy building of vocal phrases, allowing for fine adjustments in speed and articulation.

With over 10,000 samples and a collection of more than 700 vocal effects, Kwaya provides extensive creative possibilities. The recordings were made in the Eldana Studio, utilising high-quality equipment to capture the natural essence of the voices.
