The library includes the Armenian Duduk, Persian Ney, Turkish Ney, and Zourna, each deeply sampled to capture their distinct tonal characteristics. Up to six different legato types are available per instrument, enhancing expressiveness and playability. The collection also features a microtuning folder with 16 patches, allowing for precise tuning adjustments based on Arabic and Turkish scales.
In addition to the instruments, Desert Winds offers 21 bonus soundscapes, each with multiple layers that can be mixed to create evolving ambient textures. The interface, powered by Best Service Engine 2, provides real-time control over essential performance parameters, including speed, expression, and legato types. This flexibility makes it easy to adapt the sounds to various scoring contexts, whether for cinematic compositions or ambient sound design.
